Consultant supply chain planning for the process industry

Your role as consultant supply chain planning

As a supply chain planning consultant for the process industry, you are in charge of executing client projects on location. Your key focus is implementing and improving tactical planning processes, where your field of work entails planning & control, sales & operations planning processes, integrated planning, forecasting, demand forecasting and performance management, and the link to financial planning.

You will be working on projects varying in length from one week up to several months: these are challenging projects for large multinational companies in the process industry. Currently we are working amongst others for paint manufacturers and the specialty chemicals industry, chocolate processing companies, the steel industry, the rubber industry and companies in fuel, oil & gas.

From the market we see a high demand for APS implementations, such as IBP or OMP. We support our customers from the start of selecting the right system up to the functional implementation from a supply chain planning perspective. Our projects however are not limited to only these projects and are in the full spectrum of supply chain planning.

Your working location will mainly be at our customers sites in The Netherlands, and European travel is occasionally required.
Our Forecasting & Planning and knowledge center is located in Aarle-Rixtel and we have offices in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Geneva and are opening in Cork.

Responsibilities

  • You redesign and personalize supply processes by detecting, analyzing and improving bottlenecks while identifying improvement potential.
  • You organize planning processes by aligning demand and supply. Roles and responsibilities need to be determined and decision-making information collected.
  • You optimize complex planning modules through close cooperation with project coordinators, planners and the operational department.
  • You maintain and expand commercial relationships in the branch by regularly organizing round table meetings within the knowledge network.
  • Working location: Eindhoven

 Profile candidate

  • A relevant master’s degree
  • Approximately 2 to 10 years of relevant experience in a planning position in the process industry
  • Experience with the functional implementation or as superuser of an APS (IBP, OMP, or similar) is a plus
  • You design consistent planning processes
  • Pragmatic, hands-on mentality and target focused
  • Willing to also work abroad
  • EU-working permit
